The JIG Quality First programme gives all members the opportunity to have their operations assessed by qualified JIG Inspectors so that they can be publicly recognised as operating to JIG Standards.
This provides members with a number of benefits, including:
- Reputational benefits from having sites designated as ‘Inspected to JIG Standards’.
- Direct feedback from Inspectors to help them continuously improve the safety and efficiency of their operations.
- Widening the number of sites captured in JIG’s databases will significantly improve the quality of the broader information JIG provides to members on industry trends and best practice.
Inspected to JIG Standards is partly a self-declaration process and, although JIG does not take responsibility for inspections carried out by third parties, it will review the inspections submitted for consistency with the JIG Inspection process and JIG Standards and to confirm all Inspectors have successfully completed the JIG training and met the further inspection criteria.
