JIG Council

The Council is the governing body of JIG Ltd with representation from each of the Guarantor Members.

IT Committee

The Committee is responsible for new IT initiatives and enhancements to the JIG Website and the JIG Inspections Tracking System.

HSSE Committee

The Committee is responsible for all matters related to HSSE statistics and incident reporting and for identifying and communicating lessons learnt from accidents and near misses.

Product Quality Committee

The Committee is responsible for updating AFQRJOS (Aviation Fuel Quality Requirements for Jointly Operated Systems) to reflect the most stringent requirements of the latest issues of the international specifications for aviation jet fuel (DEF STAN 91-91 and ASTM D1655) and for monitoring fuel quality developments and providing guidance to the JVs and other key stakeholders.

Common Processes Committee

The Committee is responsible for identifying JV issues and administrative tasks and, where appropriate, developing a common process that may be adopted by JVs.

Operations Committee

The Operations Committee reviews inspection report findings, approves changes to JIG Standards and the inspection checklist format & inspection programme and reviews the required standards for qualification of JIG Inspectors.

JIG Workshop Committee

The Committee is responsible for establishing a programme of workshops for JIG Inspectors and JIG Member participation based on training priorities.

Technical Forum

The Technical Forum consists of persons nominated by the Guarantor and Associate Members including IATA.  The Technical Forum develops revisions to JIG Standards for approval by the Operations Committee and debates technical matters of interest to the industry.
