- How do I buy the Standards?
- The preferred method is via our online shop at www.jigonline.com/jig-products. Payment is made online using credit card which is processed through a secure online banking system (Worldpay)
- Are there any discounts available?
- All JIG Members qualify for the advertised discounted prices. However, there is also a Pricing Matrix (available on the Shop Page) for combined hardcopies/PDF’s and for large orders that both Members/Non Members benefit from. Prices for these are automatically calculated at ‘Checkout’Licences are also available on the website for internal distribution of PDF copies. Please contact JIG Admin (contacts at end) for further details.
- Can JV’s benefit from the Member rates?
- JV’s are not entitled to order directly and benefit from the Member rate. If appropriate, they can contact their Member company representative and request that they purchase the document(s) on their behalf
- Can you print the Standards in A5 format?
- Yes – this is not determined by the Standards but by the individuals own PC printer options
- Can you print the Standards double-sided?
- Yes – this is not determined by the Standards but by the individuals own PC printer options
- What size are the hardcopies available in?
- They are available in A5 only
- Do I need FileOpen to access the PDF’s?
- Yes – this is JIG’s way of protecting the documents. All information regarding this free plugin is available on the shop page which we recommend reading before making a purchase: www.jigonline.com/jig-products
- FileOpen does not work – what should I do?
- Firstly, check all the information on the FileOpen website at http://plugin.fileopen.com/all.aspx. There are options for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and Linux.Please note that Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed as the inbuilt reader on some devices will not be compatible. Access to the internet is also necessary in order to validate the permissions to view the documents. We advise individuals to speak to their respective IT departments as problems may be due to internal restrictions. If access is still not possible, please contact JIG Admin (contacts at end) for assistance
- Can I save the PDF onto a device?
- The PDF must have an internet connection and the full Adobe Acrobat available the first time it is accessed. It is then possible to save the PDF to your device and access it offline using your JIG login credentials
- Can I order one PDF for company use?
- No – each individual must buy their own copy. Each PDF is watermarked with the name of the purchaser and each individual must use their JIG login credentials every time they want to access the document
- How do I obtain a Summary of Changes or Tracked Changes?
- The Summary of Changes is available free to download from the Shop page. The Tracked Changes document is only available ONCE an Issue 12 document has been purchased by contacting JIG Admin (contacts at end)
- How do I obtain the HSSE Standard Issue 2?
- This is only available ONCE an Issue 12 document has been purchased by contacting JIG Admin (contacts at end)
- How many copies of the Standards can I order online?
- You can order as many as you want but there are restrictions on weight per order (e.g. orders may need to split in order for the system to process them):
- AIRMAIL: JIG 1 – Issue 12: 200g (this equates to approx. 25 copies per order)
- AIRMAIL: JIG 2 – Issue 12: 200g (this equates to approx. 25 copies per order)
- ROYAL MAIL 1st CLASS – 4kg
- ROYAL MAIL 2nd CLASS – 2kg
- Can I track my shipped order?
- This depends on the shipping option chosen at the time of purchase. If ‘Airmail’ is chosen, this service cannot be tracked. If you wish to track your package, please choose an appropriate courier or tracking service.
- Will there be translations available of Issue 12?
- Yes, later in 2016
- Will there be an update to JIG 4?
- Yes, hopefully in February 2016
